Overview

The International Business Management Post-Degree Diploma teaches you about importing and exporting, market research to develop market entry strategies, supply chain management, managing in international environments, and legal and financial aspects of international trade business. You'll also have the option to participate in the Business Internship and Career Boost programs.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: This programme defers to Douglas College's General College Admission Requirements: applicants need an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada, or an equivalent credential from an approved institution elsewhere, and the programme page recommends (without making it a hard cut-off) a minimum average of 60% (grade C) across that undergraduate degree. Applicants whose credential was earned in a language other than English must also meet Douglas College's institution-wide English Language Proficiency requirement: Grade 12 English at a minimum grade of C (English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12, or English 12) or Communications 12 at B, or a recognized test score such as IELTS Academic overall band 6.5, TOEFL iBT overall 4.5 with no section below 4.0, PTE Academic 56, Duolingo English Test 110, or CAEL 60. No portfolio, interview or other non-academic condition is listed for this diploma.

Application Deadline: Douglas College publishes college-wide application windows rather than a single date for every programme, and the domestic and international timetables differ. Domestic applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC: for the 2027 entry cycle, Fall applications open 1 October 2026, Winter applications open 1 February 2026, and Summer applications open 1 June 2026; limited-enrolment programmes set no fixed close and shut once seats fill, while open-enrolment programmes stay open until 4:00 p.m. the Friday before the semester starts.
