Through sports administration and management training that balances academic rigour with real-world relevance, students develop professional capabilities and connections that position them for success in community recreation departments, professional sports teams, sporting goods companies, and athletic facilities across Canada. Sports administration and management graduates also work behind the scenes at professional franchises, amateur athletic associations, national sport governing bodies, community recreation departments, and sporting goods companies, helping these organizations run efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Mature Student Status, Grade 12 English at the C or U level with a minimum grade of 60 per cent, and Grade 11 Mathematics at C, M or U. The page states no combined average and no language-test scores of its own, so English-language proficiency follows Durham College's institution-wide requirement for certificate and diploma programs: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 4.5 overall with no section below 4.5, PTE Academic 53 with no section below 49, CAEL 60 with no section below 60, or Duolingo English Test 110.
