Overview
If you are an international student enrolled in the work term option, you must have a valid co-op work permit before starting your work term. You must apply for and receive a Social Insurance Number in order to work in Canada. Documentation and instructions on how to apply for a co-op work permit will be provided only to students who are successful with their application into the work term option once semester 1 grades have been finalized.

Admission Requirements: This graduate certificate admits applicants with either a college diploma or degree, or a minimum of three years of related industry experience documented in a professional resume with a letter of intent; no minimum admission average is stated for either pathway. Proof of English-language proficiency is required; the programme page defers to Durham College's English Language Proficiency Policy, which for graduate certificates sets Durham College's institution-wide policy for certificate, diploma, advanced-diploma and graduate-certificate programs: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, PTE Academic 53 overall with no section below 49, CAEL 60 overall with no section below 60, or Duolingo English Test 110 or higher. Internationally educated applicants from non-English-speaking countries must meet that policy specifically. Comfort with mathematics, statistics, computer software, programming and enterprise systems is recommended but not a formal requirement.
