This graduate certificate provides advanced training in mechanical engineering, developing skills to determine an enterprise's technology needs and support industrial technology transfer. The program is made up of five courses and two mandatory workshops totalling five hours, for 15 credits overall, and is offered on a full-time and part-time basis, with courses scheduled during the day, evening, or in an intensive format. Admission is available for the fall, winter and summer terms. Entry requires a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automated production engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, completed with a minimum cumulative average of 3.0 on a 4.3 scale; applicants averaging between 2.8 and 3.0 may be admitted following a file review. Candidates may also qualify through relevant knowledge, appropriate training, and experience. Sufficient knowledge of French is required, and English reading proficiency is recommended. Credits earned may be applied toward the DESS or Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
