Admission Requirements: Admission to the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering follows ÉTS's technical-DEC profiles: Profile A (design/manufacturing DECs such as mechanical-engineering technology, aerospace-engineering technology and industrial design) and Profile B (agricultural mechanization, chemical processes, building-mechanics technology and aerospace-maintenance technology, whose holders must also complete course MEC029). All technical-DEC entrants must pass mandatory diagnostic tests, including a CATIA proficiency check. A French baccalauréat général without the Québec supplement is accepted after a preparatory year specialising in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a minimum cumulative average of 2.30/4.30. Other routes include specific Canadian college diplomas (Bathurst, La Cité), a French BUT/DUT or international Bac+2 technical diploma (11.50/20 minimum for international applicants), or, from age 21, at least 30 technical college units plus two years of relevant experience. Teaching is in French under ÉTS's first-cycle language-policy directive, which publishes no minimum test score. The program is non-contingented with Fall and Winter intakes.
