Admission Requirements: Admission to Business Administration - Accounting requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U); mature applicants (19 or older, without an OSSD) may sit George Brown's Admissions Assessment for English and Math or complete academic upgrading instead. The program page defers English-language proficiency to George Brown's general requirements, which set IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each band, TOEFL iBT 80 overall with 20 in each band, PTE Academic 54 overall with 50 in each band, Duolingo English Test 110 overall with a 90 production score, or CAEL 60 overall for diploma-level programs. Meeting the published minimums does not guarantee admission; George Brown ranks applicants on their grades, so competitive intakes may need marks above them. College or university credits may also qualify an applicant for course exemptions under the transfer-credit guide.
