Overview
The Esthetician – Spa Management program provides you with the practical skills, business training and professional competencies required to work in the growing field of esthetics. Taught by diverse faculty with extensive industry experience, this internationally recognized curriculum offers a holistic approach to teaching spa modalities, including specialized skin, body and hand/foot treatments; corrective make up techniques; and nutritional concepts for skin and body health. With over 240 hours of hands-on experience in Georgian’s Spa clinic, you hone your practice and develop the professional ethics and skills required to run a small business. You also gain the academic preparation for international testing. As a graduate, you’ll have an inspired passion for health and wellness, as well as the technical and management skills necessary for a successful and rewarding career in the esthetics industry.

Admission Requirements: Georgian College's own admission-requirements page for Esthetician – Spa Management asks for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature-student status, with Grade 12 English at the C or U level. Mature applicants 19 or older without an OSSD, non-secondary-school applicants, and home-schooled applicants can also be considered through equivalent courses, upgrading, a completed GED, or equivalency testing, and Credit for Prior Learning covers relevant post-secondary coursework or experience. The page lists no standardized English-language test scores. Before spa-clinic placements students must hold Standard First Aid certification, a current clinical-placement permit, a clear criminal reference check and vulnerable sector check, and the immunizations set out in the Clinical Preparedness Permit; students also supply their own uniform, implement kit, and makeup kit, and a personal laptop meeting the programme's technology requirements.
