Overview
This program is designed to prepare students for exciting employment opportunities in the $15 billion Canadian golf industry, both on the golf course and off. Theoretical concepts taught in the classroom are blended with practical learning opportunities gained through exposure to various golf facilities. At the golf course level, students examine the many aspects of golf operations such as agronomy, hospitality, retail and golf event planning. Away from the golf course, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths at facilities that support the game. Students gain professional and managerial skills for industry and self-employment, as well as practical experience through participation in a work term and extensive field trips to golf courses and golf industry properties.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: This diploma requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status, plus Grade 12 English at the C or U level. Mature applicants aged 19 or older, non-secondary-school applicants, and home-schooled applicants may also be considered on completion of upgrading, GED equivalency, or equivalency testing, and those with relevant post-secondary coursework or life experience may receive prior-learning credit. The programme page states no test-score table, portfolio, or interview requirement; applicants whose first language is not English fall under Georgian's general diploma-level requirement instead: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall or TOEFL iBT 79 overall. International-student availability for this programme is confirmed separately through Georgian's international admissions team.

Programs outside the highly competitive list carry no equal-consideration date and are assessed on a rolling basis year-round. International applicants apply directly through Georgian's own portal with no published closing date and are assessed on a rolling basis while seats remain, though Georgian warns a program open when applied to may close before assessment. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
