Diploma in Interior Decorating is a diploma in Interior Design programme offered by Georgian College in Barrie, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 7,619 per semester (CAD 1,387 per semester for local students).
This two-year diploma treats interior decorating as the shaping of distinctive spaces that meet functional needs while addressing aesthetic perception. Through lectures, studio sessions and lab work, students complete projects that interpret client requirements and produce innovative interiors, covering the use of space, beautification and furnishing, and the documentation of design concepts into a package that conveys a sense of place. The programme also builds professional and entrepreneurial skills for industry work or self-employment, reinforced by a field placement in the decorating profession.
