The Bachelor of Religious Education – Honours – NextGen at Heritage College and Seminary is a four-year, campus-based degree preparing students to serve children and youth in church, parachurch, and camp ministries. Coursework combines biblical and theological study with a theological framework for children's and youth ministry, building practical skills for ministry through supervised placements and internships in real-world settings. The honours designation reflects an extended course of study beyond Heritage's standard Religious Education degree, providing deeper grounding in Scripture, theology, and youth-ministry practice. Students graduate with a working knowledge of the Bible, a biblical worldview, and hands-on experience leading and discipling children and youth. Classes are delivered on Heritage's Cambridge, Ontario campus over four years of full-time study, preparing graduates for roles such as children's or youth pastor.

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma applicants need a minimum 65% overall average across six Grade 12 university-preparatory courses (four at the U level, two at U or M level), with at least 60% in each eligible course and one being U-level English at 60% or above. Homeschooled applicants may qualify with a SAT score of 950/1600 or a Classic Learning Test score of 60 overall. International applicants need TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS Academic 6.0, or CELPIP-General level 7; the college is not issuing study permits for 2026-2027, so international entry is to fall-term distance learning only.
