The EQUIP – Certificate of Christian Studies at Heritage College and Seminary is an eight-month, campus-based program running from September to April, built around 30 credit hours of biblical and theological study. Coursework covers Old and New Testament studies, introductory Christian theology, ethics, critical thinking, hermeneutics, missiology, spiritual disciplines, and either cultural anthropology or sociology, developing a biblical worldview and a working knowledge of Scripture. University-level courses taken in the program may transfer to other Christian or secular institutions. The certificate runs across the fall and winter terms of a single academic year and suits students seeking a short, structured introduction to biblical and theological study within a Christian community, either as a standalone credential or before continuing into further study. Classes are delivered on Heritage's Cambridge, Ontario campus.
Requirements
Minimum GPA:65.00 / %
Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma applicants need a minimum 65% overall average across six Grade 12 courses at the U, M, or C level, with one being English at 60% or above. Homeschooled applicants may qualify with a SAT score of 950/1600 or a Classic Learning Test score of 60 overall, with lower scores considered case-by-case for certificate admission; mature applicants (21+) without a diploma face the same thresholds, and those with a diploma but short of the average may be admitted conditionally with review after two terms. Applicants outside Ontario need a Grade 12 diploma meeting university entrance requirements. International applicants need TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS Academic 6.0, or CELPIP-General level 7; the college is not issuing study permits for 2026-2027, so international entry is to fall-term distance learning only.
