Overview

English Name: Heritage College and Seminary
Founded: 1993
Institution Type: College

Heritage College and Seminary is a Baptist Christian post-secondary institution in Cambridge, Ontario, formed in 1993 when Central Baptist Seminary, founded in Toronto in 1949, legally merged with London Baptist Seminary, founded in 1976, to create Heritage Baptist College and Theological Seminary.

The combined school relocated to its present Cambridge campus in 1995 and has held a close partnership with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada since 2011. Heritage College offers undergraduate certificates, diplomas, and bachelor's degrees in biblical studies, pastoral ministry, church music, counselling ministries, and related fields, while Heritage Theological Seminary offers graduate degrees for those pursuing pastoral and academic ministry.

Programs combine biblical languages and theology coursework with supervised ministry placements, and many courses are also available through live-streamed and online distance study. Heritage College and Seminary confers its own credentials: the College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation to grant certificates and degrees at the Associate, Baccalaureate, and Master's levels, and the Seminary is separately accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada to offer the Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, and Master of Theology.

The institution opened a new Seminary Building on its Cambridge campus in 2025.
