Overview
The Religious Studies program at Queen's University is offered by the School of Religion within the Faculty of Arts and Science. Students may pursue a Major, Medial, or Minor concentration leading to a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree, or a General Plan leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree. All first-year students complete introductory coursework before requesting entry into a specific Plan for Level 2 (second year) through the SOLUS system in May. The program examines religious traditions, texts, and practices from a range of critical and comparative perspectives, drawing on courses (RELS) across the discipline. Students wishing to change or confirm their Plan at the third-year level make a further request through the Faculty of Arts and Science. Requirements
Admission Requirements: To enter the Religious Studies Plan at Level 2 (second year), students need a minimum overall GPA of 1.6 for the Minor Plan or 1.9 for the Major Plan; entry into the Major Plan at the third-year level also requires a minimum of 12.0 units in RELS completed successfully. All Plan requests are made through the SOLUS system during the May Plan Selection period, or through the Faculty of Arts and Science for later changes.
