Liberal Arts is a two-year pre-university Diploma of College Studies (DEC) program at Cégep Heritage College. The curriculum is interdisciplinary, covering Literature, Philosophy, History, Science, and Religion, and examines how these fields have shaped historical and contemporary understanding. Students choose between a Mathematics stream (Secondary 5 TS or SN prerequisite) and a non-Mathematics stream (Secondary 4 CST prerequisite). Core courses include English, Philosophy, History, Health and Physical Activity, and Research Methods in the first semesters, followed by Epic Poetry, Modern Philosophy, and Ethics and Human Rights, with electives such as History of Art, Film, Drama, and General Psychology. In the fourth semester, students complete an Integrative Project, a research assignment applying concepts from at least three disciplines studied in the program. Graduates must also pass a Ministerial Examination of Language to obtain the DEC. The program prepares students for university study and subsequent careers in fields such as law, journalism, economics, public administration, politics, and international affairs. The Ministry program code is 700.B0.
