Admission Requirements: Thompson Rivers University's Open Learning page for the Diploma in General Studies sets admission as open admission: it states no required courses, minimum grades, prior credential, GPA or English-language test score (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo or CAEL) for entry. The diploma itself requires 60 credits of post-secondary coursework, including at least 21 credits at the 2000-level or above, with up to 30 credits allowed from applied-studies courses such as fine and performing arts, studio or technology courses; some of this coursework may be satisfied through Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR).
