Overview
Langara was the first public post-secondary institution in British Columbia to offer registered massage therapy training, and this full-time, in-person diploma runs a minimum of two years with January, May and September intakes. The curriculum spans gross anatomy with cadaver labs, cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy technique, visceral manipulation, massage therapy for athletics, and business practice for RMTs, alongside integrated clinical practice through student internship courses. Students treat members of the campus community and the public in the Langara student RMT clinic in A-Building, working under the direct supervision of experienced RMT instructors, and the final two semesters include over 330 hours of exam review. Graduates are eligible to sit the registration examinations of the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC and may apply 78 PLAR credits toward Thompson Rivers University's Bachelor of Health Science.

Admission Requirements: Admission (effective Spring 2027) requires domestic applicants to have completed a minimum of 18 post-secondary credits at a recognized institution, and international applicants a minimum of 24 post-secondary credits. English language proficiency is met by IELTS Academic Overall 7.0 with no band below 6.5, TOEFL iBT Overall 92 (Writing 22, Reading 22, Listening 22, Speaking 22), CAEL Overall 70 with an Essay score of 65, ILAC Pathway 3.3 (Level 16), qualifying IB or AP English, completion of LEAP Level 8, or a minimum 70% in high school English. Applicants must also complete a 2-day Introduction to Massage course with a minimum 'B' grade, submit written admission questions (maximum 10 pages), and provide a professional reference letter from someone who has known the applicant five or more years, is not a family member, and holds a university or college degree. A mandatory structured video interview forms part of admission. Once accepted, students must complete a Criminal Record Check and hold Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and AED.

A short list of limited-enrolment programmes - Nursing, Advanced Entry BSN, Nursing Practice in Canada, Applied Science for Engineering and the Post-Degree Diploma in Data Analytics - set their own, earlier deadlines that apply to both applicant types. Admission is otherwise rolling. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
