Cert in Medical First Responder

Medical First Responder is a certificate program that prepares students to provide emergency medical care to sick or injured patients before they reach a hospital, serving as a foundational step toward becoming a Primary Care Paramedic. The program is delivered in a blended format that combines face-to-face and online instruction in both synchronous and asynchronous formats, and includes evening theory classes together with hands-on skills training using the institution's simulation facilities and ambulances. On completion, students earn three separate certifications: International Trauma Life Support Basic Provider, Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CPR, and Medical First Responder. Intakes are limited to 18 students on a first-come, first-served basis. The program is not open to international students.
