Agriculture Science - Bachelor of

The Bachelor of Agriculture Science is a four-year degree at Lethbridge Polytechnic covering plant and soil science fundamentals, growing-condition variation, and modern precision agriculture techniques. Students complete 120 credits across eight terms, combining lecture-based coursework with hands-on lab and field work in plant physiology, soil fertility, crop production, and integrated pest management. The program is delivered in a blended format, combining on-campus and online instruction in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. Graduates are eligible to pursue the Professional Agrologist (PAg) designation through the Alberta Institute of Agrologists. The curriculum builds applied research skills alongside technical agricultural knowledge, preparing graduates for careers in agronomy and agricultural management, or for further graduate study. The program begins each September on the main Lethbridge Polytechnic campus.
