Admission Requirements: Admission requires an OSSD/OSSGD or equivalent with courses at the general, advanced, (C), (U) or (M) level, including Grade 12 English at the (C) level or equivalent; applicants without a diploma may qualify as mature students. The programme page does not set its own language-proficiency scores, so Loyalist's institution-wide international requirement applies: for certificate and diploma programmes this is IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL 550 paper-based or 80 iBT (no section below 20), CAEL 60 overall/60 writing, Duolingo 105+ (no band below 90), Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency, or Oxford ELLT 6. Because placements involve dispatch and emergency-communications settings, applicants must complete a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, noting that certain convictions may prevent placement participation and program completion.
