Admission Requirements: Domestic admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, with courses at the general, advanced, (C), (U) or (M) level, including Grade 12 English at the (C) or (U) level and Grade 11 Mathematics at the (C), (M) or (U) level or equivalent, or admission as a mature applicant. The programme page sets no language score of its own and defers to Loyalist's institution-wide requirement for Certificate/Diploma/Advanced Diploma programs applies: TOEFL 550 (paper-based) or 80 iBT with no section below 20, IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 6.0, CAEL overall 60 with a writing score of 60, Cambridge English C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency, Duolingo English Test 105 or above with no band below 90, or Oxford ELLT 6. Students must be clean-shaven to achieve a proper seal with a self-contained breathing apparatus; must pass the York University Fitness Evaluation (or equivalent) before the end of semester one, at the student's expense if a re-test is needed; need minimum 20/30 uncorrected vision with no significant colour deficiency, or sign a letter acknowledging fire-department requirements if this is not met; and must hold valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C (HCP) certificates on admission.

International applicants apply directly through Loyalist's International Application Service or an agent and are assessed on a rolling, individual basis; the college publishes no fixed international closing date, and each Letter of Acceptance states its own accept-and-pay deadline. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
