Overview

This program is offered by Memorial's Faculty of Business Administration in St. John's as a Master of Business Administration, with a related Graduate Diploma in Business Administration also available through the same faculty. The MBA comprises 20 courses, completable in two years of full-time study, less with course exemptions, while the Graduate Diploma comprises five courses over one to three years. Both can be studied full-time or part-time, with course scheduling over lunch hours and evenings, and a three-semester system allowing entry in Fall, Winter, or Spring. Teaching methods include case studies, role-playing, lectures, research projects, and interactive simulations, and the program is accredited by AACSB International. It is course-based, developing problem-solving and decision-making skills for complex, unstructured business problems and a broad operating knowledge of management practices with attention to international business. The MBA is intended for applicants with at least two years of full-time work experience, while the Graduate Diploma is designed for working professionals with five or more years of experience.

Admission Requirements: MBA admission requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale, a balanced GMAT score of at least 550 (or 515 for the GMAT Focus Edition) or a balanced GRE score of at least 302, two years of full-time relevant work experience, and two letters of reference. English proficiency for non-native speakers: TOEFL 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based), or 92 (internet-based), or IELTS overall band score of 7.0.
