Overview
This diploma program, offered through Mount Royal University's Bissett School of Business, integrates commercial pilot training with aviation theory and business coursework. Students study meteorology, navigation, air law, and flight planning aligned with Transport Canada requirements, along with advanced concepts in airline and charter operations, and build flight hours across Western Canada. Training combines classroom instruction with practical flying and includes access to a full-motion flight simulator with a wraparound screen. The program suits students pursuing a career in commercial aviation, combining flight training with business fundamentals relevant to airline and charter operations. Graduates pursue roles such as airline, charter, or corporate pilot, flight instructor, medevac pilot, aerial firefighter, and positions within the Canadian Armed Forces. Flight-specific costs are outlined separately from general tuition on the university's fee schedule.
