Overview
After attending College at a previous school, I took a year off before enrolling at Niagara College. During my time as a student in the Sports Management program, I learned from a business focused curriculum with an emphasis on the sports world. Taking an unconventional route through the program, I was able to focus all my efforts on completing course curriculum, before starting my full time internship in semi-professional sport. Throughout the program I learned about marketing, media, professional selling, operating sports facilities, and even tournament management. All of these classes helped me develop as a professional, and provided me with skills and knowledge that I still use today. Niagara College not only taught me the necessary course materials to be successful, but provided me the opportunity to really think about what I wanted to do in sport. Throughout the program, you are educated on the different areas of sport, and encouraged to think about what type of career path you want to pursue. I found the faculty to be great resources when figuring out my career path, building my resume, cover letter, and finding different job opportunities. Without the help from Niagara College, I would not have had the opportunity to develop and pursue my career in sport.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including Grade 12 English at the College (C) or University (U) level; Grade 12 Mathematics at the same levels is recommended but not required. The programme page asks only for proof of English proficiency from international applicants, pointing to the college's general language-proficiency page rather than stating a score itself, so English is assessed against Niagara College's institution-wide undergraduate-diploma scale: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with at least 20 in Writing and Speaking, Duolingo 105+, PTE Academic 58+, Cambridge English 169, or CAEL 60. Offers are issued once an applicant demonstrates the published requirements are met and space remains in the programme. Because programme activities are not readily reachable by public transit, students need their own transportation and a Windows-based computer meeting the college's specifications.

Application Deadline:Niagara College's equal-consideration deadlines apply equally to domestic and international applicants to competitive programs, published for the 2026-2027 cycle: for September 2026 entry the date was 1 February 2026, for January 2027 entry it is 5 June 2026, and for May 2027 entry it is 30 October 2026, each followed roughly three weeks later by a document deadline and an earliest-offer date. All other programs, the majority, are processed first-come, first-served starting each November for both domestic and international applicants, with offers issued until seats fill or the term begins. Niagara does not publish which named programs currently hold competitive status. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
