Overview
This program has really opened my eyes to what’s happening in the distilling industry, especially in Ontario. I’ve learned way more than I was expecting to about the little details and the science behind it all, right down to what ‘yeast metabolism’ is and why it’s important. I never realized these things existed and if I had gone straight to opening my own distillery rather than enrolling in this program, I don’t think I would’ve been as successful.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario College Diploma (or equivalent) or a Bachelor's Degree; applicants must be 19 years of age by the start of classes, and most private-college courses or credentials are not accepted toward the prior-credential requirement. The programme page does not publish English-language test scores; per Niagara College's institution-wide requirement for graduate certificate and degree programs, applicants whose first language is not English need IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 85 with a minimum of 22 in Writing and Speaking, Duolingo English Test 120 or higher with no subscore below 100, PTE Academic 60 or higher with no skill below 57, Cambridge English 176 with no skill under 169, or CAEL 60 with no band under 50. Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required as part of selection.

Application Deadline:Niagara College's equal-consideration deadlines apply equally to domestic and international applicants to competitive programs, published for the 2026-2027 cycle: for September 2026 entry the date was 1 February 2026, for January 2027 entry it is 5 June 2026, and for May 2027 entry it is 30 October 2026, each followed roughly three weeks later by a document deadline and an earliest-offer date.
