Overview

The Event Management program has provided me with more hands-on industry experience than I could have ever anticipated. The program challenged me in ways that revealed both my strengths and weaknesses, and helped me grow as a professional and as an individual. The program faculty and coordinator provide guidance and support to each student. They provide students a wealth of industry knowledge daily and prepare them for industry. This program has truly transformed the direction of my life, as it has prepared me with the industry knowledge and leadership experience needed to excel in my current career as an Event Manager.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario College Diploma (or equivalent) or Bachelor's Degree, or an acceptable combination of related event experience and postsecondary education as determined by the college. Proof of English proficiency is required; as a graduate certificate, Niagara College's institution-wide graduate-program scale applies: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 85 with a minimum of 22 in Writing and Speaking, Duolingo English Test 120 or above with no subscore below 100, PTE Academic 60 or above with no skill below 57, or CAEL 60 with no band under 50. Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required during selection; most private-college credentials are not accepted as equivalent, and applicants should confirm eligibility with admissions.

Application Deadline: Niagara College's equal-consideration deadlines apply equally to domestic and international applicants to competitive programs, published for the 2026-2027 cycle: for September 2026 entry the date was 1 February 2026, for January 2027 entry it is 5 June 2026, and for May 2027 entry it is 30 October 2026, each followed roughly three weeks later by a document deadline and an earliest-offer date. All other programs, the majority, are processed first-come, first-served starting each November for both domestic and international applicants, with offers issued until seats fill or the term begins. Niagara does not publish which named programs currently hold competitive status. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
