In the Fundamentals of Sustainable and Innovative Manufacturing Micro-credential, you'll combine hands-on skills with theoretical knowledge to give you a start in the growing sustainable manufacturing sector. Based at Alberni Valley Makerspace, you and your classmates will gain an introduction to six main modules (see courses) that cover the fundamentals you need to get a start in the field, including: - Software - Laser cutting and 3D printing - Plastic recycling and manufacturing - Woodworking - Small electronics applications As part of the curriculum, you’ll combine knowledge and skills gained throughout the program to create a functioning prototype as your capstone project.
