This statement-of-completion program builds a foundation in animal behaviour, health, wellness and welfare alongside hands-on skills for providing compassionate animal care. Classes run part-time over roughly seven months at the Comox Valley campus, meeting Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., and are open to domestic applicants. Tuition includes textbooks, which are distributed before classes begin, and total program costs (tuition plus materials) run to roughly $3,005. NIC points prospective students to WorkBC's career profile for the field, which estimates average earnings of roughly $34,934 a year in BC for animal care aides.
