Carpentry Applied Certificate

Carpentry Applied Certificate – Buffalo Narrows is a program offered by Northlands College and brokered from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Students gain hands-on experience in blueprint reading, framing, concrete work, scaffolding, and other skills used in residential and commercial construction. The practical, industry-focused training is intended to prepare graduates for entry-level construction roles and apprenticeship opportunities, with potential credit toward journeyperson certification in the carpentry trade. The program runs at the Buffalo Narrows campus from February 2 to June 8, 2027. Admission requires Grade 11 standing, along with a mathematics prerequisite of Foundations of Mathematics 20, Pre-Calculus 20, or Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 20; modified and general math credits are not accepted. Applicants submit high school transcripts as part of the application. Selection follows a First Qualified, First Accepted process, in which applicants who meet the minimum entrance requirements and complete the application procedure, including all required documents, are accepted in the order they qualify.
