PGCert in Full Stack Application Development

Full Stack Application Development is a one-year graduate certificate program at Nova Scotia Community College that bridges information technology with the many other disciplines that rely on it. Students develop proficiency in both back-end and front-end software development, working with server-side, database and front-end technologies and frameworks used to build complete web applications. The curriculum emphasizes user interface and user experience design principles alongside coding practice, and students build a professional portfolio of application projects. Graduates complete either a mandatory field experience placement of approximately five weeks, typically unpaid, or an entrepreneurial project developing an application for an industry partner. Graduates are prepared for roles such as full stack developer, web application developer or software developer. The program begins in September and is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit for international graduates.
