Okanagan College's Collision Repair and Refinishing Diploma is a two-year, full-time program based at the Kelowna Trades Complex that combines automotive refinishing, collision body repair, and auto glass repair and replacement across 22 courses, including a two-week industry work placement built into the curriculum. The first year is organized into four modules of Level 1 technical training covering different collision-repair specializations, with extensive shop-based practice in welding, sheet-metal repair, and surface preparation, while the second year shifts toward estimating, office skills, and small-business entrepreneurship for graduates who want to eventually run their own shop. Admission requires BC secondary graduation or equivalent (or being 19 or older and out of school at least a year), English 11 and Grade 10 math at a minimum 50%, with a trades entrance assessment available for applicants who don't meet those marks within the past seven years. Graduates become eligible to write SkilledTradesBC's standardized exams and can carry credit into an apprenticeship as an Automotive Collision Repair Technician, Refinishing Preparation Technician, or Auto Glass Technician.
