Computing Science & Business Administration is a four-year Bachelor of Science degree at Saint Mary's University combining computing science courses from the Department of Mathematics and Computing Science with business courses from the Sobey School of Business. The program is designed for students who want technical grounding in computing science and information technology together with the ability to apply that technology to business problems. Coursework includes database programming, computer networks and security, strategic management, and artificial intelligence. Upper-year classes are small, typically 10 to 20 students. Students have opportunities for co-operative education work terms, study abroad, and undergraduate research, and can take part in regional programming hackathons and business case competitions. Graduates are prepared for roles that bridge information technology and business management.
