Overview
Four-year honours degree at Newnham Campus training students to design, implement and manage secure, high-performing IT systems and networks, using specialty labs equipped with Cisco and HPE Aruba technology, Microsoft Azure cloud services and Linux. Management coursework in finance, marketing and ethics complements the technical core, and a mandatory co-op work term of at least 420 hours is required. Admission Requirements: Domestic entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-applicant status, with six Grade 12 U or M courses averaging at least 65% overall, including Grade 12 English (ENG4U) and any Grade 12 U mathematics course, each at a minimum of 65%; Grade 12 Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U) plus courses in English, communications and computer studies are recommended but not required. Seneca offers free upgrading for applicants short of English or math. English proficiency for international applicants follows Seneca's institution-wide standard for degree programs (senecapolytechnic.ca English requirements page): IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT with no skill score below 21, PTE Academic 60, Duolingo 115-120, or CAEL 70 with writing at least 60; domestic applicants meeting the Grade 12 English prerequisite are not asked for a formal test.
