Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or entry as a mature applicant (19 by the first day of classes), in which case the OSSD is waived but the programme's own subject prerequisites still apply. The stated subject requirements are English at the Grade 12 C or U level, or an equivalent course, and Mathematics at Grade 12 C or U, or Grade 11 U or M, or an equivalent course. Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are short of the English and/or Mathematics prerequisite can instead qualify by passing Seneca's pre-admission test, and the college lists upgrading options for applicants who do not meet the subject requirements. The programme page defers English-language proficiency to Seneca's institution-wide policy: a formal test such as IELTS or TOEFL is asked of domestic applicants only where prior study in English cannot be shown, while all international applicants must meet Seneca's published English standard; this page states no test scores itself and directs international applicants to select their home country, noting that further documents or assessments may be requested.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants (Canadian citizens and permanent residents) apply through OntarioColleges.ca. For the September 2027 intake, OCAS opens for applications on 1 October 2026, the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, first offers go out from 1 November 2026, and the earliest confirmation deadline is 1 May 2027 with a CAD 200 deposit due the second Wednesday of June 2027. The January 2027 and May 2027 intakes opened on 1 October 2025 and carry no equal-consideration date, with earliest confirmation deadlines of 1 November 2025 and 1 March 2027. International applicants apply directly to Seneca, are assessed on a rolling basis with no fixed closing date, and are admitted up to the first day of classes or until a program fills, whichever comes first. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
