Diploma in Paralegal (Accelerated)(In-person)

Admission Requirements: This accelerated option layers prior study on top of the standard Paralegal (PLE) entry requirements, all of which must also be met. The additional requirement is an Ontario university degree, an Ontario college degree or diploma, or an equivalent credential; applicants holding at least two years of successfully completed post-secondary credit may also be considered. Anyone coming straight from secondary school, or with no post-secondary study, is directed to the standard Paralegal program instead. CREDENTIALS EARNED OUTSIDE CANADA (including domestic applicants educated abroad): a course-by-course credential assessment from a recognised agency such as WES or ICAS is required, and it must include a post-secondary English course or its equivalent. Where the credential comes from an institution and country in which English is the primary language, the completed credential itself can evidence that English equivalency; where it does not, COM101 may be an eligible route to satisfy the English requirement. Seneca lists this program among the nine it will not give a conditional offer to through the English Language Institute, so an international applicant needs the English score in hand rather than a language-pathway offer. Seneca states that its published English-proficiency rules for Canadian applicants do not apply to Accelerated programs, so confirm the English standard with Admissions before applying.
