Overview

Two-year online diploma building the skills and knowledge required to work in the corporate travel, leisure or cruise travel sectors, treating tourism as a business with an emphasis on a service-driven attitude and business skills in marketing, sales and customer relations. Students gain practical knowledge in negotiation and risk management, learn industry-specific global distribution systems (GDS), explore local and international destinations and complete 315 hours of field placement in the third semester, with an advanced-entry pathway to Seneca's BBA – Hospitality, Travel & Tourism for graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. September start.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or the equivalent, or admission as a mature applicant, together with Grade 12 English at the C or U level (or equivalent). The page does not publish a standardized English test score. Canadian citizens and permanent residents may satisfy the English requirement through successful completion of Seneca's own pre-admission test. International applicants must instead meet Seneca's institution-wide English requirements, which are not detailed on this programme page. The institution recommends, but does not require, completion of a Grade 11 or 12 mathematics course for success in the programme.

International applicants apply directly to Seneca, are assessed on a rolling basis with no fixed closing date, and are admitted up to the first day of classes or until a program fills, whichever comes first.
