Cert in Technology Fundamentals

Technology Fundamentals is an Ontario College Certificate at Sheridan College for students who are interested in a technology career but have not yet chosen a specific area of study. Over two semesters, students sample five subject areas — chemistry, engineering, architecture, information technology, and trades — through introductory coursework in each. The program is designed to help students identify which technology field best matches their interests and strengths before committing to a specialized diploma or degree program. Instruction is delivered by faculty with industry experience. Graduates can pursue apprenticeship opportunities in a trades pathway or use the certificate as a foundation for further study in one of the sampled technology areas at Sheridan or elsewhere.
