PGCert in Environmental Control

This graduate certificate prepares graduates from science, engineering or technology backgrounds for careers in the environmental sector. The 43-credit curriculum runs across two semesters and builds on prior scientific training to develop skills in environmental assessment, monitoring and control relevant to industry and regulatory work. The programme is designed for quick entry into the environmental field for graduates of a traditional science, engineering or technology discipline, and recommends a background in chemistry for continued success. Coursework combines technical environmental-science content with applied problem-solving relevant to environmental compliance and control roles. Students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average may apply for an optional four-month paid co-op placement. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in environmental monitoring, compliance and control across industry and government settings.
