Simon Fraser University offers Health Sciences: Master of Public Health (MPH), a master's degree in Health Sciences programme in Burnaby, Canada. The programme runs for 5 semesters, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 340 per credit (CAD 340 per credit for local students).
This Master of Public Health compresses at least 46 credit hours of interdisciplinary coursework into five terms of full-time study. Required courses span biostatistics, epidemiology, social determinants of health, program planning and evaluation, environmental and occupational health, Indigenous health in Canada, and global health, building students into practice-ready public health professionals. A signature 13-week practicum, usually completed the summer after first year, has placed MPH students in 55 countries, 112 cities, and with 214 organizations since 2007. Most students finish with a capstone project built around a real-life public health case study, though a thesis option extending the program is also available for those pursuing more extensive research.
