This diploma prepares students for careers in greenhouse operations through classroom instruction, laboratory work and field placements. Coursework covers plant science, growing-media and irrigation systems, and pest and disease management relevant to commercial greenhouse production. In the second year, students choose a specialization in either Production or Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and the programme concludes with a capstone project that draws on coursework and prior workplace experience gained during the programme. The programme runs two years (four semesters) at the Main Windsor Campus with a September start, program code T865. Graduates are prepared for roles such as production technician, pest-management specialist, supervisor or manager within Ontario's greenhouse sector, including vertical-farm and container-growing operations, as well as related supplier and logistics roles supporting the industry.
