The Crop Management (Agriculture) Diploma is a two-year, 91-to-95-credit-hour programme in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Manitoba, for students planning to manage farms where crops are the primary enterprise or pursue related careers in agricultural and food service and value-added sectors. The curriculum, split across two years each with Fall and Winter terms, covers crop production, soil management, agronomy, and farm business principles. Classes begin later in September and end in early April to accommodate students with seasonal obligations to plant and harvest crops. Individual consideration is available to applicants whose academic record may not be typically competitive but who demonstrate exceptional life circumstances or agriculture-relevant skills and experience. Graduates are prepared for crop-focused farm management and related agronomy and agribusiness careers.
