BC Early Childhood Education Basic Certificate - UBCV

Admission Requirements: UBC's Early Childhood Education Program lists specific admission requirements for the Basic Certificate on its own admission-requirements page. Applicants must be at least 19 years old when the program starts and must hold high school graduation or the equivalent. The English language requirement can be met in one of several ways: at least four years of secondary or post-secondary study taught in English, a four-year undergraduate degree or a graduate degree from a university where English is the language of instruction, six credits of post-secondary English coursework taken in an English-speaking country, or a qualifying language test - IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6, or TOEFL iBT at UBC's required score. No prior early-childhood work experience, portfolio, or interview is described on the program's own pages beyond these age, education, and language conditions.
