French and Education Certificate

Admission Requirements: The certificate's own page states only that applicants must meet Simon Fraser University's normal admission requirements and separately obtain admission approval from the Department of French; it publishes no GPA threshold, language-test score, portfolio or interview requirement of its own. General SFU admission for Canadian high-school applicants needs at least five approved Grade 12 courses, including English Studies 12 or equivalent at 70% or better in Language Arts 11/English 12, filed through EducationPlannerBC; international secondary-school applicants are assessed on a first-semester senior-year transcript. The certificate is open to students without a bachelor's degree, and up to nine transfer units in French plus six in education may be credited toward it, subject to the French department's approval.
