Social Work: Master's Degree (MSW) - UBCV

UBC Vancouver's Master of Social Work lets students concentrate in one of three fields of practice: social and international development, health and social care, or family and children's services. Everyone completes a shared set of core courses, then adds electives tied to their chosen field and a practicum arranged by the School's Field Education Coordinators around individual learning goals; a thesis is available as an option rather than a requirement. Admission is built on a completed Bachelor of Social Work. The School of Social Work, established in 1928 and the oldest social work school in British Columbia, is accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education and delivers the program in person on the Vancouver campus.
