Program details
Overview
This Bachelor of Technology program blends art, technology and business, teaching students to design, produce and manage media across print, product packaging and digital platforms. Coursework builds skills in design software, visual communication, production management and sustainable packaging, and students choose among four concentrations: Digital Graphic Output, Leadership, Packaging, and Publishing. The program runs full-time over four years and includes a mandatory paid internship between the third and fourth years, drawing on the program's long-standing industry connections in Toronto's graphic communications sector. Students have access to computer, printing and finishing labs, and can pursue international exchange or Global Campus Studio options. Graduates move into roles spanning creative production, packaging design, print and digital output management, and publishing operations. The program suits students who want a technical, business-oriented route into visual communication and media production rather than a purely fine-arts or business degree, and who meet the program's Ontario secondary school admission requirements.
