Overview
This Bachelor of Health Administration program is a part-time degree-completion route for working health professionals, accredited by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. Coursework covers program planning and evaluation, financial accounting, healthcare information analysis, health informatics, statistics, healthcare systems management, managerial epidemiology and health law, alongside a mandatory practicum and research project that connect theory to workplace practice. Students may take as few as one or two courses a semester or enrol in three or more courses to study full-time and remain OSAP-eligible, with classes offered in evening, web-based and modular formats. Entry is available through two streams: applicants with a two- or three-year Ontario college health sciences diploma and at least two years of current professional health services experience, or applicants with at least two years of health-related undergraduate study, or a degree in another field, plus two years of current professional experience. The program suits practising health professionals seeking a credential built around their existing clinical or administrative work rather than a general health sciences degree.
