Overview

This program leads to a Bachelor of Forest Management, training professional foresters able to manage forest resources with a focus on environmental sustainability. Delivered in person over four years and 120 credits, the program is normally based at the Edmundston campus, with an option to complete the first year at the Moncton campus before transferring to Edmundston for the remaining three years. Coursework combines forestry science with the resource-management principles needed to plan, assess, and oversee forest land sustainably, alongside supporting science, field-based training, and general education requirements. The program is intended for students entering directly from secondary school and prepares graduates for professional careers in forest resource planning, forest management, and related environmental and natural-resource roles across the forestry sector.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires a secondary school diploma with five qualifying courses: French (Fran 12 / Francais 10411 or equivalent, minimum 65%), Mathematics (Math 12 / Math 30411B or equivalent, minimum 60%), two terminal science courses from the approved list (minimum 60% each), and one other eligible course (minimum 60%), with an overall average of at least 70% across the five courses.
