Program details
Overview
This program leads to a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in physics, delivered on-campus over four years. The curriculum provides theoretical and experimental training across areas including optics, electromagnetism, mechanics, thermodynamics, astrophysics, quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, relativity, and nuclear physics. Students develop problem-solving skills through advanced mathematical methods alongside supporting mathematics and science coursework, working through both classroom instruction and laboratory experimentation across the four years of study. The first two years can be completed at the Edmundston or Shippagan campus, with the remaining years at Moncton, or the full four years can be taken at Moncton. The specialization combines theoretical grounding with applied laboratory training, preparing graduates for direct entry into the workforce in physics-related fields or for graduate studies in physics.
