Bachelor of Secondary Education (Immersion/School Inclusion)

The Bachelor of Secondary Education (Immersion/School Inclusion) prepares teachers for secondary-level French immersion classrooms in anglophone schools across Canada. The two-year, second-entry program builds on an existing undergraduate degree and provides training in pedagogy, second-language learning, and school inclusion. The program is delivered mainly at the Moncton campus, with the first year also available at the Edmundston and Shippagan campuses before students transfer to Moncton to complete the degree. Admission requires holding a prior bachelor's degree with a defined mix of credits in a first and second teaching subject taught in New Brunswick public schools. Graduates are prepared to teach in secondary immersion and school-inclusion settings, combining subject-area expertise with specialized training in language pedagogy and inclusive education practice.
