The Doctorat en sante publique is a 90-credit research doctorate offered by the Ecole de sante publique de l'Universite de Montreal (ESPUM), preparing candidates to become independent researchers through advanced training in public health. Students choose a specialization in epidemiology, health promotion, global health, health systems, organizations and policy, or toxicology and risk analysis, and complete an original dissertation under faculty supervision. The program is offered full-time or part-time. Admission requires a master's degree or equivalent from a relevant discipline, and applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter, a research proposal of 200 to 500 words, three letters of recommendation, and a scientific article on which they are first author. Integrated funding of up to 20,000 CAD per year is available over four years.
