PGDip in DESS en spiritualité et santé

The DESS en spiritualité et santé (Graduate Diploma in Spirituality and Health) at Université de Montréal is a 30-credit specialized postgraduate diploma preparing students to provide spiritual care in healthcare and correctional settings. The program combines theoretical coursework in spirituality and health, spiritual accompaniment theory, end-of-life care, ethical intervention and bioethics with clinical practice: a minimum of 540 hours of supervised clinical placement, delivered through small-group supervision and individual coaching. It is offered full-time or part-time, with day and evening courses, and can normally be completed in two full-time terms, or in two half-time terms followed by one full-time term for students completing two internships. The diploma develops practical competencies for spiritual-care intervention and integrates clinical experience with academic reflection on professional practice.
